Current Cape View - Scenes from April/May 2026

The Cape is blooming in full color! Spring flowers are putting on a most spectacular show, and we found a true hidden treasure in Buddha Bob’s - a whimsical, wonder-filled spot bursting with art, color, and Cape Cod character. A new season is unfolding, and the Cape is clearly dressed for the occasion.

And it all starts with yellow...

Forsythias and daffodils brighten up the gray skies we often see this time of year. Clockwise from top left: Forsythias light the way for one of the Three Sisters Lighhouses in Eastham, daffodils trumpeting in front of the Yarmouth New Church Preservation Foundation on 6A, another treasure-filled destination in Yarmouth - the Parnassus Book Services bookstore in Yarmouth Port (where "The Storied Life of A.J. Fikry" was filmed), and daffodils mimicking the Eastham windmill.

And the burst of colors soon follows...

A tulip extravaganza - A visit to Mahoney's Garden Center in Falmouth made me feel like I was transported to the Netherlands.

...followed by ALL the purples

Some of our favorite places framed by flowers

The old and the new coming together at Lothrop Hill Cemetery

Another welcome sign of spring is the glowing OPEN! sign now lighting the entrance of Buddha Bob’s in Eastham. Open daily for the season, its ever-changing inventory makes this a true delight for treasure seekers. Dazzling crystals, mystical trinkets, and curious curations await -a joyful bit of sensory overload in the very best way.

And so, dear readers, we leave you with the Cape in bloom - full of color, curiosity, and those small seasonal joys that remind us why we love this place so dearly. As Memorial Day approaches and a new season begins, may we all keep our eyes open for the beauty tucked just around the bend.
