Current Cape View - Scenes from February/March 2026

The blizzard of 2026 was a whopper here on the Cape. But signs of Spring have arrived...

The hurricane-force wind gusts and heavy, wet snow led to extensive power outages. Our trusty battery-operated radio, tuned in to one of our favorite stations, kept us company. The beautiful blue sky the next day helped to boost spirits.

The full moon eclipse during the morning of March 3rd was a gorgeous sight to behold. Seen here over Oyster Harbors Marine in Osterville.

After being cooped up in a dark, cold house for days - it felt GREAT to be out and about. ALL the cozy vibes - great music, great fun, great food, great venues, great friends. Top Left, clockwise - the amazing AT3 Jazz band playing during a delicious jazz brunch at Marshland II in Sandwich, a close up view of the gorgeous, hand-crafted board by Cape Cod Crokinole, yummy coffee and treats at Hey Joe and Jam in Chatham, with music by the ever so talented Rob Cushing, Cape Cod Crokinole game day, sponsored by Off the Grid in Sandwich.

Gorgeous views everywhere we look. A spectacular sunset over Ridgevale Beach, the almost-full moon showing off, and the beautiful, warm glowy light of sunrise illuminating the house overlooking a partly-frozen Phinneys Bay in Osterville. The thaw has begun.

After months of white snow and gray clouds, nothing says spring quite like seeing so much GREEN. There was plenty of it, along with lots of smiles, at the joyful Cape Cod St. Patrick’s Day Parade in Yarmouth. A perfect transition into the warmer days ahead!
